100 Story Building
100 Story Building is a custom-designed creative space for children and young people in Footscray, Melbourne. We use storymaking as the tool to trigger creativity and imagination. Our mission is to provide opportunities for the most marginalised children and young people in our community to build their literacy skills, confidence and sense of belonging that are fundamental to future success.
cohealth Arts Generator
cohealth Arts Generator (cAG) is an award-winning participatory arts program focused on creating visceral experiences for makers and audiences. Empathy and valuing the ‘lived experience’ is at the heart of the process used. The basis of Arts Generator's democratic approach to arts practice is the embodiment of a set of values and principles that supports everyone to have a place at the table in all areas of the work.
Footscray Community Arts Centre
Footscray Community Arts Centre is Australia’s leading & longest running community-led, contemporary arts centre. We collaborate with artists, communities & organisations to build capacity, create opportunities and drive social change. We curate unique and imaginative creative workshops, present immersive art experiences and provide professional development and mentoring to the next generation of community leaders.
Snuff Puppets is a big, anarchic puppet troupe for everybody. Unashamedly handmade and experimental in a world fixated on perfection and mass-production, Snuff Puppets make visceral performance that breaks down the distance between audience & performer. For 25 years Snuff Puppets have been unleashing their giant puppet spectacles on millions of people worldwide and created more than 25 new works in partnership with communities through their People’s Puppet Projects.
The SUBSTATION is a multi-art space presenting a curated program of contemporary, experimental, interdisciplinary work by local, national and international artists. Engaging with artists from across artistic disciplines, working in non-traditional modes, we commission and curate our program to create opportunities for audiences in the greater west of Melbourne to see the best of contemporary and experimental arts. We aim to engage local audiences in an inspired, critical dialogue about current society.
Western Edge Youth Arts
Western Edge Youth Arts Inc. is a non-profit organisation established to enable culturally diverse young people to make sense of the world they live in through positive arts and performance experiences. Our free community youth theatre projects and in-school residencies give young people the opportunity to work with professional artists, and draw on their own interests and experiences to create productions that challenge perspectives and positively impact local communities. Through these projects we aim to provide young people with new skills and greater self-confidence, and to help create a more inclusive community.
