Arts West and Cinespace Inc. present this short taster workshop for independent artists and small to medium arts organisations who want to use video as a tool for promoting or marketing their organisation, artworks or activities.
A smartphone story is a short film or promotional/marketing video made entirely on a mobile phone. It has a beginning, a middle, and an end. It can be made by one person, or by a team of people. A smartphone story can be made by anyone.
Audiences love to see stories set in places audiences haven't seen before, and that talk about new and different things.
Over three hours, you’ll cover
The benefits of shooting on a smartphone or device
The importance of story in promoting your organisation
Basic technical requirements, principles and processes for shooting and editing short videos, adding graphics and music and uploading to the web
