Noomi Hart is a Finnish born- Australian Artist based in Melton. She began painting with oils at a young age and achieved first place in a colouring competition at age 6. Noomi began selling Artwork at age 13. In 2002 while still at Secondary School, Noomi won a design competition for Kwinana Public Library, Western Australia, and working with a professional artist transferred the Artwork to an outdoor mural for the local public library.
Noomi is largely self-taught but developed a love for painting Plein Air during Secondary School when her Art teacher encouraged Plein Air practice during class. Noomi has a Crt IV in Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft, during which she primarily studied Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Pottery.
Her preferred mediums are acrylic, oil paints, pastels, watercolours and clay although she is often inspired to use a variety of materials, often what can be found or is on hand.
Her Artistic philosophy involves connecting with nature to reset the mind and release more creativity.
Noomi completed the Raglans Cottage Artist in residence and exhibited her work last year at the Botanica exhibition in CS Gallery. Currently Noomi is selling large Artworks through Bluethumb, an Australia-wide online gallery.
