Arts West/Big West Festival

As a member of Arts West, Big West and other alliance members had an opportunity to meet about the decision to retire the festival and organisation. Organisations involved in Arts West include: Footscray Community Arts Centre (FCAC), 100 Story Building, Substation, Women’s Circus, cohealth arts generator, Western Edge Youth Arts and Snuff Puppets.

Conversations with key stakeholders are taking place however, there is not yet any confirmation or information pertaining to Arts West’s commitment to delivering a festival such as Big West.

Arts West hopes that the current and future investment by key stakeholders in community-led arts initiatives is not lost as a result of Big West’s closure.
